Turkish Anjeer

Turkish Anjeer (commonly from the Aydın and İzmir regions of Western Anatolia, Turkey) is the world’s most famous commercial variety of dried figs (often called Smyrna Figs or White Figs). Unlike the dense, flat, string-pressed discs of Afghan anjeer, Turkish figs are typically larger, softer, and naturally sun-cured into plump, teardrop or rounded shapes.
