Dried Cranberries

Dried cranberries are dehydrated, ruby-red berries made from fresh tart cranberries (Vaccinium macrocarpon). Because fresh cranberries are extremely sour, dried versions are typically infused with a touch of apple juice or light cane sugar, resulting in a soft, chewy texture and a signature sweet-and-tangy (khatta-meetha) flavor.
